Though having a challenge in your relationship is part of what keeps the sparks going, in a D/s relationships it’s about the interaction and the connection individuals make.
D/s is not a competition and it’s not about conquest.
If you’re having to fight and struggle for your partner to submit to you, then it’s not surrender and it’s not D/s.
However, if you’ve purposely set up your relationship to be that way, then it’s a “roleplay” scene and those scenes can be hot; however that is roleplaying not D/s.
